Most people have nothing on our server. On Android, pets and care records stay on your phone unless you turn on Family sharing. Deleting the app removes them.
Android
- Not using Family sharing: uninstall Purrwiggle, or open Settings → Apps → Purrwiggle → Storage and clear its storage. Nothing is kept on our server.
- Using Family sharing: open Profile → Household → Family sharing → Leave family. Your family account is deleted from our server right away.
iPhone
Open Profile → Delete my account and data. Your account is deleted from our server right away.
Without the app
Email hello@getberq.com with the subject Delete my Purrwiggle data. Tell us the display name you used and your pets' names so we can find your family. We will confirm, delete your data within 30 days and let you know when it's done.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted right away: your account and its access token, your display name, your notification address and notification choices, and the usage events linked to your account.
- If you were the last person in your family: the family and all its pets, care logs and health records are deleted too.
- If others are still in the family: the shared pets and records stay with them, because they belong to the whole family. Your name is removed from the entries you logged and shows as "Someone".
- Backups: copies in our server backups are deleted automatically within 30 days.
- Analytics and crash data in Google Firebase is not linked to your name or family account and is deleted automatically after our retention period (at most 14 months). You can stop it any time in Profile → Share anonymous usage data.
- Subscriptions: deleting your data does not cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings.
